Hey I'm Alex!

I’m a Newcastle & Hunter Valley based wedding and event planner.

My journey to becoming a wedding planner started from humble beginnings. I worked in various corporate management roles, and nothing seemed to fit. It was when my now husband popped the big question and we began planning our own wedding that it all started to fit. 

Wild Rose Events is a boutique wedding planning service that is dedicated to creating effortless, modern celebrations. I am an experienced wedding planner, event organiser, and lover of elegant details and aesthetics.

From the initial meeting, through to the planning and coordination, I am dedicated to creating unforgettable moments that capture the unique love story of each couple. When planning your day, I believe the planning process should be as enjoyable as the event itself. Our services are designed to ensure we make your planning experience stress-free, seamless and unforgettable.

When I’m not planning weddings, I’m usually chasing my dachshund, Daisy, lounging with a cup of coffee with my husband and being far too addicted to watching Friends.

By the end of this journey, I get to watch two beautiful people marry their soulmate, and to me, that’s pretty special.

A perfect wedding coordinator! Alex stunned us with how effortlessly she made our wedding happen. Her knowledge of what to expect helped us to plan all details. Following her customised run sheet on the day let us enjoy the moment with no worries. Her relationships with other vendors helped us to get the outcomes we wanted with minimal fuss. We had a COVID reschedule which Alex was able to help us through. Her kindness and professionalism showed in the check-in calls and email updates as the vendors were lined up for the new date. She made us feel confident that we could get through this hurdle. The evening before the wedding, Alex again helped us through a last minute vendor illness and had a replacement arranged within half an hour. We cannot recommend Alex enough. The best wedding coordinator that exists! Alex is an absolute superstar and you couldn’t make a better choice than booking Wild Rose Events for your big day, I can’t say this enough. We decided to employ the services of Alex from Wild Rose Events about 4 months out from our wedding as we found we weren’t really able to enjoy the lead up to our big day due to all the things to organise. We had so many great vendors involved in our big day but Alex was the standout. Nothing was ever too hard for Alex, she seamlessly took over all responsibilities and my wife and I were able to actually enjoy the countdown as a result. Alex’s response rate was ridiculously fast (I wish she would take a day off but that’s first class service for you when you send an email Sunday night and receive a response 5 mins later). Our day was perfect and a big part of that was because Alex had everything covered. From setting up the venue to all the little things that need to be done, nothing was missed and we had full trust in Alex. I can’t recommend Wild Rose Events highly enough- booking a wedding coordinator made our day so much better and Alex is not only the ultimate professional but a wonderful person. Five stars is not enough - 100 stars!

I don't even know where to even start with how unbelievable Alex was for our daughter Dana to Tom. Alex went above and beyond to anything possibly imaginable right to delivering recovery medications, food and water at 1am to the bride and groom Planning a wedding during COVID was always going to be a challenge and Dana and Tom engaged Alex to be a part of the day to take some of the pressure off them. Best decision EVER!! Nothing was too much for Alex. She handled everything was so much professionalism and skill. Never once exasperated at requests or changes. Always available and responsive with solutions. A personality absolutely perfect for a role of Wedding Coordinator. If you are considering should we or shouldn't we have a wedding coordinator you definitely SHOULD engage with Alex. There will be nothing left unsaid or undone. I can't begin to explain how incredible Alex is at her job. I was starting to feel really anxious and stressed out thinking about our actual wedding day and who would be in charge of making sure everything comes together perfectly since I wouldn't be able to do it myself and I couldn't think of anyone I trusted enough with the job. We were so lucky to snatch Alex up when we did! Leaving it quite late to source a Wedding Coordinator we were worried no one would be available, but lucky for us Alex was! It was the best decision we made. Alex was there for us no matter what time of day or night, and was extremely flexible! She made our day run so smoothly that we couldn't be more grateful! She made sure everyone was where they needed to be, calm and relaxed. She created a detailed and incredible run sheet and ensured all our vendors were up to speed! Alex was incredibly reliable, even when the weather started looking quite miserable, she ensured that our wet weather options were going to be amazing regardless. I had my baby shower at 32 weeks pregnant and would have found it impossible to plan. Along comes Alex from Wild Rose Events. Alex took the reigns and organised EVERYTHING! All I had to do was make a couple of colour choices and everything showed up on the day. Alex maintains an excellent level of communication with absolute transparency through out the process. I was absolutely exhausted after the shower and had I planned it myself, would have had a lot of clean up. Alex coordinated the clean up process and before I knew it, my house was back in order and I was sitting enjoying the leftovers and the gifts we had received. I can't recommend Alex enough for any kind of event. People are still raving about my shower 4 months later! I recommend Wild Rose Events at any chance I get! Thank you so much Alex, for everything! The best decision we made for our wedding was having Alex. She was there every step of the way and nothing was ever too difficult for her whilst keeping super calm. She made the whole wedding a breeze- from helping us pick amazing vendors for our day, to being our coordinator on the day to assist things to run smoothly. Any issue that surfaced, Alex was onto it. We even had to change venues 6 months before due to the original venue closing and Alex within two days had showed us a new venue that we loved and we had booked it. Never a limit on catch ups, phone calls or emails. If you have a question or idea, Alex is always super responsive and attentive. Our wedding would not have been anything like it was without Alex. So many guests from our wedding even mentioned how lovely and amazing she is at her job and we couldn't agree more. I'm glad I didn't have all the stresses leading up to our day and I was able to enjoy the whole experience. Highly recommend Alex to everyone, we cannot wait to have her for all our future events.

I tasked Alex from Wild Rose Events with arranging my baby shower as I was still working full time and renovating my house, I simply had no time to make any arrangements myself. Within 3 hours of first contacting her about it she had a draft plan already set out. I really wasn’t sure what I wanted, but Alex guided me seamlessly through various ideas, palettes, and options including ensuring that there were no latex balloons or decorations due to an anaphylactic guest. She went over and above with what was delivered on the day, including leaving my sisters patio clean and tidy afterwards! We included Rosie the barcart and everyone was amazed by the drink’s menu she arranged and service provided to my party guests. My cupcake tower arranged through Melrose Cskes was a hit! All in all my day was more than I could have dreamed of. I felt like a queen in my peacock throne. Thank you Alex and her team for the most special of days 💙

The best thing I did while wedding planning was hire Alex from Wild Rose Events she is absolutely incredible!! Alex gave me the reassurance I needed when I was feeling stressed with planning.
